THE SONIC EXPERIENCE - ICELAND is the second album by Norwegian saxophonist Kristin Sevaldsen in an upcoming trilogy based on field recordings from various locations, situations, and countries in the Arctic. This album focuses on Iceland and is based on field recordings collected in different areas on the saga island. While the first album was about the raw nature of Snøhetta, this album explores urbanity within the wilderness and various situations and sonic consequences that unfold in Icelandic society.
The music genre falls under eco-acoustics and is partly contemplative, carrying the artist's commitment and awareness of climate and environmental protection.
