From the upcoming album "When I Fall From the Sky" by Misty Coast
In a Million Years is Misty Coast's first single from their upcoming album, When I Fall From the Sky. The band gives a little nod to the mothership, The Megaphonic Thrift, and with free expressions from two of Norway's most creative producers, Emil Nikolaisen (Serena-Maneesh) and Jørgen Træen (Sir Dupermann), the song has become a trippy, catchy little thing. If one were to describe the tune in a pretentious way, one might say that In a Million Years is a galactic journey, where figures reminiscent of Michael Rother and Kim Deal are spinning around a black hole, before they magically take us down to earth again.
“The song represents a recurring theme on the album, and it lingers in thoughts about whether we should choose to ignore the reality outside of what we experience as our world - or if we should dare to seek a larger, perhaps unpleasant truth." - Linn Frøkedal
Linn Frøkedal and Richard Myklebust are accompanied by drummer Kim Åge Furuhaug (Orions Belte) and the cover art is by Steven Duke. In a Million Years is to be released digitally on Fysisk Format on September 18, and the single is also available physically in limited editions via Gazze Records' compilation vinyl, Oslosphere vol. 1 from September 30.
